Braelyn started out her summer break going to LC cheer camp and VBS at First Baptist Barnesville. She also went to VBS at Milner Baptist and went to Dance camp at ASOD..... Busy girl!
We spent a lot of evenings and weekends at the farm enjoying our new kayaks.
Nuna took Braelyn (and I) to her first Broadway production. Wizard of Oz was so great and Braelyn loved it!
In mid June, Mike's Mom passed away. It was a very hard time for our family. Thankfully, our trust in Jesus Christ got us through it and we realize she is out of pain and in a better place. My heart goes out to Mike because although our relationship with his Mom was strained, he always tried to see the best in her. Loosing your Mom is something you never get over and he continues to have days where it really bothers him. Life is not always fun and games. It gets really hard and complex.
July 4th brought another fun visit at Aunt Sudi's house in TN.
Baxter completed doggie school where he learned to have a tad bit of manners (whether or not he follows them or not is a daily struggle) HA!
And of course the week before school started we had our annual whitewater trip!
Mike and I ended summer with a date to see his favorite band. Guns and Roses. He loved it and I did too, but I think one time is enough for me (hello good ole Country music)
Next up.....The beginning of 2nd grade, turning 8, and more catching up! Hopefully part 3 will be the conclusion!
